This was a simple ground floor extension to gain some extra space for a family in need of a new ground floor bedroom for their expanding family. This also provided the opportunity to create a separate utility room and to move the WC from the front door while also providing a seating area in the kitchen for socialising while cooking.

A timber framed structure was used for speed of construction with a cementitious boarding to create a more interesting look while also addressing a zero-maintenance requirement. This space was vaulted to provide a more dramatic internal space.
