This was a wonderful opportunity to work with our client who was a qualified forester and trained in the art of constructing log cabins using the traditional Nebraskan method.
Working with the council we gained approval for an upside down styled dwelling with living space at first floor in order to enjoy views over the nearby lake.
Logs were cut and scribed uniquely to the one below and packed with sheep’s wool to aide airtightness and thermal insulation values. The building was built once off site then moved, log by log, to the actual site where it now resides.
