Starting out in the late 90’s I spent many years as part of a design team within a large multi-disciplinary practice working on the commercial projects ranging, in value, from £500,000 to £22m.

From here I was invited to join a traditional Architects Practice in Sheringham working on new domestic projects, listed buildings but mostly house renovation schemes by improving the internal layout and the external facade as well as addressing the overall feel of a dwelling which may no longer connect with its site.

Having worked solely in North Norfolk since 2007 years I have formed some strong relationships with Planners, Building Control Officers, Planning specialists, Builders, Estate Agents and many other consultants so I know who to speak to and the best teams to put together so that your project runs smoothly and, where necessary, stands the best chance of approval.

I will be with you through every stage of the process; from the initial inception of ideas through to the completion of your project.

So, why use an Architect?

Firstly, to use the title Architect means you have completed at least 7 years of university education which provides a true depth of knowledge. This training took me through not only architectural styles and history but also through the many different areas of the construction industry meaning that I have a good understanding of the whole process.

It also comes with the protection of a highly respected professional body, the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and, as I am Chartered, I also answer to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and work to their strict Code of Conduct

Given its status, the title Architect is protected and only those who have completed and passed a 7-year course set by the RIBA may call themselves an Architect. For further reading on this subject please click here
